Le piano

The Different Pianos:

The Upright Piano*
The Upright Piano: or vertical piano) takes up little space and is less expensive. it’s a study piano ; it comes in different sizes (1,20m ; 1,30m ; )

Grand piano:
Grand pianos have more power and a better sound. They are easily found second-hand.

They come in different sizes:
Grand piano, semi-grand, quarter-grand, and toad.

Silent system :
For those who have problems with neighbors, it is possible to add a “silent system” (silent option) inside a new or older piano. A control box is attached under the keyboard. This allows the pianist to play while listening to himself with headphones, without disturbing those around him, while retaining the mechanism of the acoustic piano. I
The ideal is to play without any silent system, because the sound feedback is authentic and allows you to work more musically, with good technique.

Electronic pianos:
Reasonably sized, their adjustable volume allows apartment dwellers to practice at any time. Their touch is different, but close. Most have 88 keys. They are available from a variety of brands and prices.

To clean the keyboard keys : use a soft, dry cloth or one slightly dampened with soapy water. Do not use commercial products containing alcohol
